  • Overview

    The Bowen Group is an industry leader in the provision of wellness services to the military and veteran communities, is searching for a Photographer This is a full-time position based in Stafford, VA.


    The on-site Photographer(s) shall, at the direction of the project leader, shoot a variety of events, locations, and people which include, but are not limited to the following: summits, meetings, retreats, internal programs, individuals, passport photos, portraits, etc.

    • Provide specialized photography services, which include, but are not limited to, the following:
      • Production of photographic sessions
      • Staging of participants in the best arrangement for an excellent photographic outcome
      • Coverage of live events in a photo-journalistic approach
      • Selection and arrangement of auxiliary lighting when required
      • Selection of proper exposures and filters to achieve the best results with A high caliber professional digital camera
      • Digital transfer of images and their manipulation as needed with Adobe
      • Replacing DNG file with corrected images
      • Logging, archiving, and maintaining event files in a database. This includes tracking jobs, up-loading photos to server, backing up photos, finding photos, maintaining image bank, keyword and meta data images
      • Performing quality control inspections for critical or unique work performed internally or by commercial contractors, assuring that work has been prepared correctly and will meet the due date
      • Tracking jobs out to lab and fulfilling and distributing photo requests for the media
    • Perform other duties as requrested


    • Expertise in working with Macintosh and PC computers, including fluency with Excel, Word, and Outlook software
    • Experience with Photoshop, Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, and other specialized digital software a must
    • Highly detail oriented
    • Work in a federal environment is desireable
    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Willing to work flexible hours
    • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
    • Must be able to pass a federal background check
    • PC literacy required; MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
