    The Bowen Group, a values-led, industry leader in telehealth, health communications, and wellness services and staffing is searching for a Publications Specialist.  This is a full-time position located in Arlington, VA and the National Capital Region. 

    Responsibilities

    • Setup, adjust, and operate audio, video and lighting equipment with the ultimate goal of producing professional video presentations; includes arranging, connecting, tuning and operation of video and lighting equipment
    • Organize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Premier Pro, Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or other graphics/video editing software files in a logical manner for easy identification and retrieval
    • Store, maintain and account for audio, video and lighting hardware and software.
    • Monitor live feeds to ensure quality, diagnose, and resolve problems.
    • Digitize data when necessary from analogue sources
    • Train and assist other audio-visual production specialists in basic operation of audio, video and lighting equipment as needed
    • Collaborate on audio, visual, and audiovisual material from Vietnam Veteran oral history recordings, and oral history vignettes derived from complete oral history recordings
    • Plan and produce preproduction outlines, scripts, storyboards and graphics
    • Ability to create theme-focused videos on a variety of topics by extracting and editing segments from multiple oral history videos
    • Collaborate with logistics specialists on the delivery and set up for all audio-visual requirements for VWC events
    • Provide technical assistance to VWC staff (e.g., conversion of DVD clips to video files, insertion of video clips into PowerPoint presentations)
    • Other duties as requested

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in the visual arts)
    • A minimum of five years’ experience related to the recording and production of video programs and editing
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Expetise with Adobe Illustrator, Premier Pro, Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or other graphics / video editing software files
    • Expertise with video recording equipment, lighting rigs, sound equipment, and video editing software
    • Ability to develop storyboards and scripts to communicate stories that maintain the interest of the viewer
    • Strong scene, recording, and background analytical and troubleshooting skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to collaborate with other production specialists to ensure appropriate platforms are utilized to ensure compatibility
    • Must be able to pass a federal background check
    • PC literacy required; MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
    • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

    Other desired qualifications include:
