  • Overview

    The Bowen Group, a values-led, industry leader in telehealth, health communications, and wellness services and staffing is searching for a Writer/Editor.  This is a temporary, contract position located in Stafford, VA. 

    Responsibilities

     

    • Creates and develops content for websites and applications, epublications and print/online collateral products (brochures, posters, booklets, fliers,  etc.)
    • Maintains a consistent style and format across content development projects
    • Works cooperatively with functional team members, including graphic designers, editors, ISDs and other key staff on products and services
    • Other duties as requested

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field
    • Two to three years of experience working as a writer or in a position that required a significant amount of writing on a regular basis
    • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
    • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
    • Familiarity with AP Style Guide
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
    • Experience in military quality of life programs preferred
    • Must be able to pass a federal background check
    • PC literacy required; MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
    • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
