Overview

The Bowen Group is an industry leader in the provision of wellness services to the military and veteran communities. We are searching for a Director of Military and Veteran Behavioral Health and Wellness Services. This is a full-time position located in Stafford, VA and Washington DC Metro area. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategy and operations for MilVet Behavioral Health and Wellness Services division to include non-medical telehealth services, staffing, and contact/call centers
  • Ensure procedures and processes meet contract and accreditation requirements
  • Conduct planning and initiate strategies to ensure world-class customer service
  • Supervise personnel and teams in the provision of non-medical support within a continuum of high to low intensity needs
  • Lead and serve as solution architect for new business opportunities; ensure positive relationships with customers
  • Serve as a member of the senior executive team, assuming roles and responsibilities as required
  • Serve as a thought leader in military and veteran community wellness, to include wounded, ill and injured warriors, resource navigation, crisis response, family matters, civilian transition, and non-medical behavioral health issues
  • Responsible for the measurable growth of business within the company’s MilVet Behavioral Health and Wellness Services portfolio

Qualifications

  • Masters’ degree in medical/health administration, behavioral health or related field
  • Experience in managing health and/or wellness initiatives for the military and veteran population
  • Experience working within contact centers; management experience preferred
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, to include writing
  • Knowledge of and experience in telehealth and contact center platforms, operations and analytics
  • Knowledge of and experience in the federal government contracting bid/proposal process
  • Knowledge of and experience within the military healthcare system, veteran healthcare system, military quality of life programs, veteran benefits, or similar system
  • Experience working within DoD and/or prior military experience preferred
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
