The Bowen Group, a values-led, industry leader in telehealth, health communications, and wellness services and staffing is searching for a Video Production Specialist.  This is a temporary, contract position located in Stafford, VA. 


  • Creates graphics, animations, videos, communication and training products using a variety of tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Be highly skilled with composition, lighting, production technology, video/audio editing and composing
  • Seek out and optimize appropriate stock video, music and graphics
  • Communicate concepts using detailed storyboards
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to generate ideas and determine the best visual communication strategy and solution for a variety of video products.
  • Ensure that all deliverables adhere to established policy and style guides
  • Utilize teamwork, communication and time management skills while multitasking in a fast paced environment
  • Contribute to evolving team process
  • Ensure that all designs and files are Section 508 compliant using Closed Captioning and Audio Descriptions
  • Gather and organize digital assets
  • Provide meticulous files
  • Create and maintain detailed guides to document stylistic standards
  • Stay abreast of trends and innovations
  • Other duties as requested


  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, Film and Video or a similar discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years design experience with recent focus on video and web-based training.
  • Portfolio comprised of creative and well executed concepts that exhibit a strong sense of layout and typography
  • Practical and collaborative experience in the design and production of print and interactive solutions
  • Acute attention to detail to ensure quality and strong aesthetic sense to ensure attractive use of color, proper screen layout, and functional usability for the end user.
  • Proven ability to function as a creative self-starter and to work independently as well as within a group of professionals.
  • Must be punctual in all aspects of job performance
  • Extremely detail oriented, strong organizational, problem solving, time-management, and communication skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks effectively in a fast paced deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage/prioritize print, web and video projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Exceptionally sharp attention to details and an eye for consistency
  • Strong grasp of basic design principles including layout, typography, color, and how to apply these principles in a web and video specific environment
  • Experience creating and/or adhering to  style guides and templates
  • Ability to keep pace with a team of  blended local and virtual project managers, strategists, writers, technical developers, social media specialists and designers
  • Interest in helping to shape the  company’s process of approaching interactive projects
  • Demonstrates skill with software  packages such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Flash, After Effects, Captivate, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator,Presenter,Audition, Fireworks); and additional simulation tools including Articulate Storyline.
  • Working knowledge of front-end coding to include HTML and CSS
  • Comfortable designing using Bootstrap grid system and components
  • Aware of best-practices in usability and Section 508 compliance
  • Familiarity with military communities a plus
  • PC literacy required; MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
